Great story! I love the commingling of modern pharmaceutical use with unexpected super powers. The pain and frustration of a limitation from childhood comes through. I can imagine what it must feel like to see other kids running and playing while one must endure physical pain. It seems unfair, but Steinberg writes about it in a powerful and enduring way.
